Opal Lotus Counseling
Joni Graham, MS, LPC-Candidate
My Approach
My approach to therapy is integrative and thoughtfully tailored to each individual I work with. Just as an opal reveals a spectrum of colors, each unique, shifting, and beautiful, every person brings their own set of experiences, strengths, and needs into the therapeutic space. I draw on a range of evidence-based practices to create a collaborative, responsive process that fits you, rather than expecting you to fit a single method. Together, we’ll find what resonates, supporting growth, insight, and meaningful change in a way that feels authentic and sustainable for you.

About me
I hold a Master of Science in Counseling from Mid-America Christian University and became a therapist out of a deep desire to support those who feel lost and are seeking their way back to a sense of health and well-being. I am a pre-licensed therapist in Oklahoma, working under professional supervision to continue developing my clinical skills and to provide the highest quality of care. In the therapy room, my style is both gentle and direct, grounded in a collaborative approach that helps us better understand your experiences and create meaningful change. I work with individuals across all ages and stages of life, meeting each person with openness and respect for their unique journey. I believe that trust is the foundation of effective therapy; without it, true progress isn’t possible, so creating a safe, honest, and supportive relationship is always at the heart of my work.
1.
Individual
Psychotherapy
Individual therapy is a supportive, one-on-one space where you can show up as you are and begin to make sense of what you’re carrying. Whether you’re navigating PTSD, anxiety, depression, autism spectrum differences, ADHD, OCD, or women’s issues, our work together is guided by compassion, curiosity, and respect for your unique experience. We’ll move at your pace, exploring patterns, building coping tools, and creating space for healing and growth. You don’t have to have everything figured out to begin, just a willingness to take that first step.
2.
Children and Adolescents
Psychotherapy for children offers a safe, nurturing space where kids can express themselves, build emotional skills, and work through challenges in ways that feel natural and supportive. Through age-appropriate approaches such as play, creativity, and gentle conversation, children can process big feelings, strengthen coping skills, and build confidence. I work closely with parents and caregivers to understand your child’s unique needs, whether they’re navigating anxiety, behavioral concerns, attention difficulties, or life transitions, so that we can support their growth both in and out of the therapy space. Together, we create a foundation for resilience, connection, and emotional well-being.
3.
Couple's Therapy
Couples therapy offers a supportive space for partners to slow down, reconnect, and better understand one another. Whether you’re navigating communication challenges, recurring conflicts, life transitions, or simply feeling disconnected, this work is about creating room for both voices to be heard with care and respect. Together, we’ll explore patterns in your relationship, strengthen communication, and rebuild trust and emotional closeness. The goal isn’t perfection, but a deeper, more secure connection where both partners feel seen, valued, and supported.
4.
Neurodivergent Support
Psychotherapeutic support for neurodivergent individuals offers a space where your way of thinking, feeling, and experiencing the world is respected and understood. Whether you identify as autistic, have ADHD, or relate to other forms of neurodivergence, our work together centers on honoring your strengths while gently supporting areas that may feel challenging or overwhelming. Therapy can help you navigate sensory sensitivities, emotional regulation, relationships, burnout, and self-advocacy, at a pace that feels right for you. This is a place where you don’t have to mask or fit into expectations. Just come as you are, and we’ll build tools and understanding together.
